Who are we?

Opus IV consists of a group of Sydney's best young string players and has been providing high quality music for private and corporate functions for the last ten years. Although we work mainly as trio, quartet, or quintet, we are also able to provide larger scale ensembles for extra impact. (We are also able to provide vocal, woodwind or brass soloists particularly for wedding ceremonies; as well as a jazz/pop piano trio suited for pre-dinner drinks and dinner music.)


What makes us different?

Many of our members have played in the best orchestras in Australia, including the Australian Youth Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. Many people may recognize us from our street performances around Sydney over many years and may recognize the background

What do we do?

We present a wide repertoire of music from pure classical through romantic, and even a little jazz and pop if required. The music we present is always designed to fit perfectly with the atmosphere you wish to create. For example the group is able to produce a high energy performance which can attract attention but is equally capable of providing the ambient background music required for an intimate dinner gathering.

Please note that we now have a CD or our music available for purchase. Although it is principally to help couples select between 24 tracks for wedding ceremonies, many tracks are suitable for other occasions and demonstrate some of the variety in our repertoire.
